I'm not quite sure what happened in the past five months or whatever, but apparently my head grew a few sizes and I was tricked into thinking my stuff was actually good. I was all full of pep and excitement when I submitted Millie 4 to Newgrounds thinking, "This is going to be great."
Epic fail:
Ninth place.
You read that right. The pinnacle of Millie awesomeness was beaten out by a fucking IMAGE GALLERY and some stupid porn thing took first place. Thanks Newgrounds user base, you really put my work into perspective. But what can I say, I can't compete with porn, much like girlfriends can't.

Newgrounds is about as good a gauge for invested content as a thermostat for how much something weighs, but I guess I wouldn't be so upset if MTC was doing better than it was. I like to pretend I have a huge fan base but then I get slapped in the dick with disappointment when shit like this happens. Between having Millie 4 fail on Newgrounds, Blizzard rejecting all my comics, nobody entering the contests a while back, and the floundering visitor statistics at MTC, I think I'm almost done with trying to win at the internet.
Maybe I should have gone for that stupid sponsorship after all. I can't believe I just threw away a few hundred dollars.
